Poland in Old Photographs

How did Polish landscapes, towns, villages and roads look like one hundred years ago? What events and customs formed everyday life i n pre-war Poland? The answers to these and many other questions can be found on historical photographs published in a new book, ''Pol and in Old Photographs''. They provide an insight into the events and lives of a country fighting for independence, building the 2nd Republic of Poland, the fortunes of a state erased from the map of Europe in September 1939. the 361 photographs given in nine chapt ers (including ''Landscape'', ''People'', ''Residences'', ''Faith'', ''Economy'' and ''Culture, Education and Sport'') document events, daily li fe and special occasions, and also the architecture and landscapes from all over Poland.
