The Economic Dimensions of Global and Regional Governance
''The conference ''Global and Regional Governance - European Perspective and Beyond'' (Wroclaw, Poland, 24-26 May 2007) was a joint event of the Central and East European International Studies Association and the GARNET Network of Excellence established with the European Union support. It was organised by the Institute of International Studies, University of Wroclaw. This book, inspired by the conference`s theme, focuses on economic aspects of the contemporary world. The authors consider relations between multilateralism and the new regionalism micro and macro perspectives of governance and the regulations and institutions of governance. They also analyse how transition countries adapt to the global economy as well as to the challenges of European economic space. I believe that the publication will make a significant contribution to academic discussion of global and regional governance.'' Elżbieta Stadtmuller, Executive director for the conference
